Russian space pilot Oleg Kononenko the Star of the President order for personal courage, high professional level and achievements in implementation of the international Peaceful Uses of Outer Space program, local media outlets reported.
In February Russian President Dmitry Medvedev conferred rank of Hero upon Kononenko.
