On Feb. 19, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed an order on perpetuation of people's poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade's memory, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
According to the order, the Executive Power of Baku City must name one of the streets of Baku after Bakhtiyar Vahabzade and establish memorial plank on the building, in which people's poet lived (Istiglaliyet str. 9), the Executive Power of Sheki City must name one of the streets of Sheki city after Bakhtiyar Vahabzade and ensure the construction of the bust of people's poet in this city.
Upon the order, the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan is in charge of ensuring establishment of scholarship to the name of Bakhtiyar Vahabzade for the students, who get education in the specialty of philology, naming one of the secondary schools of Sheki city after people's poet.
