American general’s visit to Georgia to strengthen Georgian army’s defense capability

The U.S. general's visit to Georgia will strengthen the army's defense capabilities, Georgian Army Unified Staff Chief Davi Chankotadze said in Gori on March 30.
U.S. Armed Forces Staff Chiefs Unified Committee Deputy Chairman James Cartwright arrived in Georgia on March 30. The general visited the first infantry brigade, armored battalion and artillery brigade in Gori.
Cartwright will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Prime Minister Gilauri and Defense Minister Sikharulidze on March 30.
"We will continue bilateral relations with the U.S. This visit will deepen the process, Chankotadze said.
Cartwright said cooperation between the U.S. and Georgia will continue in the future.
