The delegation of the U.S. Congress House of Representatives Armed Forces Committee under the leadership of Susan Miller met with Georgian Defense Minister David Sikharulidze and his deputy George Muchaidze, the Georgian Defence Ministry CAUCASUS-PRESS reported.
The sides discussed the recent political events in Georgia. Congressmen focused attention on Georgia's occupied territories.
Congressmen got acquainted with reforms in the Ministry of Defense, and discussed the prospects of Georgian-American cooperation in the military sphere. Speaker of Georgian Parliament David Bakradze also received the guests.
Congressmen will leave Georgia today.
