Azerbaijani opposition party says there is a need to found cooperation body of opposition forces of the CIS member states.
"The opposition parties of these countries can hold summits or bilateral and multilateral meetings," Azerbaijan Democratic Party Chairman Sardar Jalaloglu told Trend .
He said absence of any cooperation among the major political forces of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia and other CIS countries is wrong.
"The cooperation can be established among political parties in the South Caucasus or GUAM countries," he said.
He said opposition parties can also found international organization in the form of liberal or social democratic union.
"I think launching such as an organization can facilitate development of democratic processes in many countries," Jalaloglu said.
He said he once he proposed former Turkish Prime Minister Tansu Chiler to establish union of democratic parties of Muslim countries.
"If this proposal had been implemented, it would be possible to discuss common problems of Muslim countries. Unfortunately, Chilar's withdrawing from political scene did not allow to realize this idea," Jalaloglu said.
The right-wing ADP was founded by Sardar Jalaloglu in 1991. The party was radically anti-government until renewing a dialogue with the authorities. Rasul Guliyev, the former chairman of the party and his supporters separated from the party protesting against its new political line and founded Open Society Party.
