Resistance movement Hamas has refused to participate in formation of a unified security body, which will take control of the situation in Gaza, Ziad Abu Ein, an official of the ruling party Fatah, told Trend .
"Hamas has not made specific allegations of intent to return to the national government of Palestine, which means continuation of differences [between Fatah and Hamas]," Abu Ain said over phone from Ramallah.
The warring Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas reached an agreement to form a committee that will serve as the government up to the elections to Parliament in January 2010 at the talks in Cairo, and the general security body, which must establish order in Gaza, the Egyptian agency MENA reported.
A delegation of Egyptian security officials and other Arab countries, which will train security forces in the Palestinian enclave, will be sent to Gaza on July 7, the RIA Novosti said.
On Monday, Hamas and Fata, which lead the national government in the West Bank, had to continue the 5th round of talks through Egypt's mediation.
According to Fatah official Abu Ein, Hamas refused to participate in the security committee, because of some members of the resistance movement did not want to lose control over Gaza.
"They [Hamas] understand that in case of participation in the joint security committee the control over the Gaza Strip will not belong to them", said Abu Ein.
According to him, after Egyptian security forces took control over Gaza in their hands, it was discovered that Hamas undermines security in the enclave.
All Arab countries are interested in the success of national Palestinian dialogue. They agreed that the dialogue is not finished, there is no positive results, said Abu Ein.
"All Arab countries and the League of Arab countries have agreed to end the internal Palestinian disputes and restore a government of the Palestinian people" he said
Fatah and Hamas stopped talks after Hamas took control over Gaza in summer 2007. As a result of the fighting, Fatah forces were expelled from the enclave.
In mid-January, Israel had completed a three-week operation against Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip, which killed over 1,300 Palestinians. Arab countries called on the Palestinian parties to resume national dialogue to form a unity government
