Russia wants a new war, Georgian President Micheil Saakashvili said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the RIA Novosti reported.

Saakashvili said that his country was occupied, which confirms "Russia's militarization of Abkhazia and South Ossetia."

"They (Russia) expand (military) base (in Abkhazia and South Ossetia), and violates international treaties. Thousands of Georgians were expelled from Abkhazia. The number of (Russian) troops reaches the number of (local) people," the Georgian President said.

He also accused Russia of wanting to "erect a Berlin Wall to separate us (Georgia) of Sukhumi and Tskhinvali".

"We need a quick integration to the European Union, beginning from reviewing visa regime, over which are working," Saakashvili
"NATO has promised us joining and closed the doors in front of our nose. NATO will understand that Georgia cannot be apart of the alliance," he said.
