On May 29, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated a new building of the State Population Register Service under the Justice Ministry of Azerbaijan, AzerTaj state news agency reported.
The Head of State cut the ribbon symbolizing official opening of the building. Justice Minister Fikret Mammadov informed the President that the construction of the building started in January 2008.
Along with the Population Register Service, the building will also house Chief Registration and Notary Department, Bureau of Vital Statistics and State Notary Archives.
Documents and photos reflecting the history, activity, international ties of the country`s justice bodies and ongoing reforms were put on display here.
A stand featuring the lifetime of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev is located on the third floor.
