Frontiers guards detained 16 foreigners for violation of Azerbaijani state border last month.
So, 4 Georgian citizens, 4 Pakistani citizens, 2 Turkish citizens, 2 Iran's citizens, 1 Russian citizen, 1 citizen of South African Republic, 1 citizen of Great Britain, 1 Ukraine's citizen were detained, press-service of the state border service told Trend on June 12.
Roughly 26 people were detained on 20 cases of Azerbaijani state border violation in May. Ten of them were Azerbaijani citizens.
Roughly 304 people of 215 cases due to violation of border regime, 60 people of 42 cases due to lack of visa, 43 people of 36 cases due to visa term expiry, 38 people of 25 cases due to lack of necessary documents were detained. Necessary actions were conducted.
Roughly 6 people trying to cross state border with forged documents, four people with documents of other people, 1 person trying to cross state border secretly were detained during a month.
Roughly 83 wanted people were detained.
Roughly 26 kilogram of drugs was revealed by frontier guards in accounting period.
Roughly 9 Azerbaijani boats were examined and detained while controlling coast of the Caspian Sea.
Roughly 13 citizens not observing regulations of border regime at five boats were detained. Necessary actions were conducted towards them.
Frontier guards detained smuggling in the amount of 485,000 manat in 68 cases.
Smuggling includes drugs, gun, antique article, cigarettes and alcohol drinks.
