Presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi stated that he is not going to attend any demonstrations on June 16. He urged his supporters to hold a peaceful protest action and avoid any provocation, the Iranian Mehr news agency reported.
Mousavi thanked people for holding a peaceful demonstration yesterday and asked his supporters to observe order when holding any action.
On June 15, hundreds of supporters of former presidential candidates Mir-Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi rallied in protest to the results of the June 12 presidential elections. Shots are reported to be fired in northern Tehran.
