The Georgian Foreign Ministry has warned Georgians dealing in illegal affairs. The Georgian Foreign Ministry has repeatedly made statements to Georgian citizens who illegally stay or illegally try to cross the borders of foreign countries, the Georgian Foreign Ministry said.

"Despite the fact that representatives of diplomatic missions and consulates which are accredited in foreign countries do their best to protect the rights and interests of the afore-mentioned category of people, if you look at the concrete fact it is certain that if a Georgian citizen violates the emigration legislation of a foreign country, he will most likely end up in a deportation department for foreigners or in the worst case, in a penal center."

The Georgian Foreign Ministry once more warns Georgian citizens, who want to go to other countries illegally, to refrain from making such decisions, and not to trust people abroad promising to employ them or acquire refugee status or other privileges for them.

Making such decisions often ends in citizens becoming the victims of human trafficking, the message said.
