A large consignment of drugs was seized in the Azerbajani Yardimli region bordering Iran.
Law enforcement employees detained Aruz village resident Bagishov Samir. Six kilograms of drugs were found on his person and seized, the Yardimli Regional Police Department said.
Bagishov admitted that he had purchased the drugs two days earlier in Iran and brought them over the border.
A criminal case has been filed according to Article 234.4.4 (Illegally Manufacturing, Purchasing, Storing, Transporting Narcotics) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
