Georgia was invited to the Sherpa meeting for the preparation of the Washington's Nuclear Energy Summit.
This issue was discussed at the meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalagania, Ambassador the Kingdom of Netherland to Georgia Pieter J. Langenberg and S.S Embassy's Chief of Political and Economic Affairs Julie D. Fisher today, the ministry reported.
The meeting was held on request of the Dutch and American sides.
Fisher has presented the initiative of the U.S President with regard to hold the first Nuclear Energy Summit in Washington Apr.12-13, 2010. It was also underlined that the Sherpa meeting for the preparation of the Washington's Nuclear Energy Summit will be organized in the Hague Feb.9-11, 2010. Georgia is invited to these high level events.
The sides discussed also the main directions of bilateral cooperation between the Netherlands and Georgia. Langenberg interested in main theoretical issues as well as concrete results of Batumi Energy Conference, held Jan.14. He was provided with complete information accordingly.
