Azerbaijani president receives Belarus deputy PM

On May 5, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Belarus Deputy Prime Minister, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation Andrey Kobyakov, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

On May 5, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Belarus Deputy Prime Minister, co-chair of Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation Andrey Kobyakov, AzerTAj state news agency reported.

The Head of State expressed hope "the opening of the second Belarus national exhibition in Baku will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries".

The Azerbaijani President recalled his visits to Belarus, adding "during my trips I`ve familiarized myself with the country`s economic potential, both countries enjoy good potential to enhance the economic cooperation."

President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of implementing joint projects.
The Belarus Deputy PM said the two countries` governments had been "tirelessly" working to fulfill the tasks the presidents had set with an aim to expand the bilateral economic relations.

Kobyakov underlined the Azerbaijan-Belarus trade saw a 4-fold rise and expressed hope "it will increase in the near future".
The Belarus Deputy PM stressed the importance of the second Belarus national exhibition.
Kobyakov said 150 companies showcase their products at this year`s event.
He expressed confidence "the exhibition will help us to explore prospects for our economic cooperation".
