An enlarged meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Justice Fikret Mammadov.
"The prosecutor's office got materials on 21 corruption-related crimes in municipalities. Illegal decisions on delivery of about four hectares of land were annulled. They were restored in the municipal property", a message said, the press service of the Ministry reported.
The implementation of the requirements of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's decree dated June 22, 2009 "Strengthening the fight against corruption in the management of state and municipal property and facilities" was also discussed.
The results in this area over the past year were discussed.
More than 20,000 municipal acts were viewed. As a result, about 564 administrative protocols were worked out and submitted to the courts towards chairmen of several municipalities.
Regional heads of legal departments attended the board meeting. A decision was made to strengthen administrative control over the activities of municipalities, increase transparency, more rational work with the regional legal departments, and raising the professional level of judicial officers, implementing administrative control over the activities of municipalities.
A number of non-profit entities were registered.
