Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office continues an investigation on the citizen's complaint, the General Prosecutor's Office told Trend.

Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office reviewed the complaint about the biased investigation of Goychay region resident Nariman Agayev's daughter's death by regional prosecutor's office and unlawful actions by investigator Aftandil Babayev, the information said.

It was revealed that a resident of Shahsoltanli village of Goychay region a seventeen-year-old Agayeva Zumrud died November 20, 2009 at her home. Investigator Babayev decided not to institute criminal proceedings based on collected materials Dec. 8, 2009.

Moreover, the General Prosecutor's Office carried out check-up in accordance with Agayev's complaint to hold medical expertise. Investigator Babayev demanded money from Agayev. A criminal case was not filed due to lack of collected documents May 8, 2010.

Agayev was dissatisfied with the decision. He appealed to the heads of various state institutions, as well as the Attorney-General of the biased investigation, refusal from conducting medical expertise, as well as illegal actions against investigator Aftandil Babayev. Agayev asked to clarify this matter and punish perpetrators.

As a result of the General Prosecutor Office's investigation, a decision taken by prosecutor Sayyaf Gubadov dated May 8, 2010 to dismiss the criminal case was annulled guided articles 84.5.8 and 212.4.1 of the Criminal Procedure Code, on the basis of the decision adopted by First Deputy Attorney General, State Counsellor of Justice Rustam Usubov, as well as on the basis of Agayev's complaint, material collected by the organizational and analytical department of the Prosecutor General.

The organizational and analytical department of the General Prosecutor's Office was charged with additional investigation.
