The modernized tank farm Rompetrol Georgia will be commissioned in Aug.13. Energy Minister Alexander Khetaguri, Deputy Economy Minister Archil Kekelia and Rompetrol CEO Saduohas Meral, who is on visit to Tbilisi, will attend the event.
The tank farm, in modernization of which was invested $2 million, is designed for reception, storage and delivery of fuel, to its own network of filling stations, and corporate and wholesale customers.
The tank farm is located near the Tbilisi airport in the Lochin valley. The base was completely rebuilt within 6 months. At this point, environmental and fire regulations fully comply with international standards.
"The tank farm's storage capacity was increased from 6,000 to 9,500 cubic meters, and download time reduced from 10 to 2 hours. It also became possible, simultaneously unload 10 tanks instead of 8," Rompetrol Georgia General Director Alexander Albin said.
The company has been working in the Georgian market for five years.
