The Independent Research Center ELS will hold an "exit poll" during the upcoming parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, the Central Election Commission (CEC) reported at the meeting on Thursday.

CEC Secretary Natig Mammadov said the organization's proposals correspond to the instructions on the registration of institutions that intend to conduct "exit-poll".

"ELS will hold an exit-poll in 1,180 polling stations. In each of the 1,180 polling stations in Azerbaijan, two interviewers will poll voters. A supervision group consisting of 38 persons will be established for conducting an exit-poll in the upcoming parliamentary elections," he said.

Parliamentary elections are scheduled for Nov. 7. Previous legislative elections were held in November 2005. Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are held by the majority system in 125 electoral constituencies.
