Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov severely reprimanded Justice Minister Murad Garriyev, demanding him to correct the admitted shortcomings soon, the Turkmen government reported.
The meeting of the State Security Council voiced "criticism on the unsatisfactory performance of duties and errors committed in the preparation of highly qualified staff of subordinate institutions."
Garriyev informed about the progress of legal reforms in the context of further improvement of national legislation.
The General Prosecutor's Office presented a report on work being done to ensure the rule of law in all spheres of government and society. It also reported on the outcome of the measures to prevent violations.
