Ambassador: Azerbaijan expects no oddities at PACE winter session

Azerbaijan does not expect oddities at the forthcoming winter session of the Parliamentary Council of the Council of Europe (PACE), Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Arif Mammadov told Trend today.

Azerbaijan does not expect oddities at the forthcoming winter session of the Parliamentary Council of the Council of Europe (PACE), Azerbaijani Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Arif Mammadov told Trend today.

"PACE co-reporters on Azerbaijan will present a report at the session on the November elections in the country. In general, the PACE report on the outcome of the elections was positive and satisfied Azerbaijan. Therefore, we do not expect hacks, I think, the session will be held in a normal atmosphere," Mammadov told Trend over telephone from Strasbourg.

The PACE winter session will be held in Strasbourg on Jan. 24-28. The agenda of the session also included a question related to the parliamentary elections held on Nov.7 in Azerbaijan.

The session will be attended by both the main and reserve members of the delegation of the newly elected Parliament of Azerbaijan, "Mammadov said.
