Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva called on Azerbaijanis living in Iran to protest against the anti-Azerbaijan policy of this country.
"Many Iranian officials interfere in Azerbaijan's internal affairs and come out with statements against Azerbaijan. They further reinforce the support to Armenia. I appeal to all countrymen: Your brothers and sisters live in Azerbaijan. Do not let the activities of certain Iranian officials against Azerbaijan. Do not let the support to Armenia to strengthen. Keep fighting. No Azerbaijani who lives in Iran should cooperate with Armenia," she said at the spring session of the Parliament today.
According to unofficial reports, about 30 million Azerbaijanis reside in Iran.
