Tbilisi considers Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's recent order to take "Georgia under special control" to be especially "dangerous."

"We must approach such provocative statements with care because based on our experiences, they often lead to fairly dangerous actions on Russia's part," Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said.

In this context, she urged the international community to pay special attention to such statements.

"On the backdrop of preparations being held for the Sochi Olympics in violation of international norms, this is particularly cynical. One must take into account that the provocative statement was made from the highest platform, which means it must be approached with extreme caution," Kalandadze said.

She does not rule out that, "Russia is trying to justify increasing its arms on the occupied territories."

Medvedev did not rule out that Georgia may attempt to organize "provocations" in connection with the Sochi Olympics, which he told the Russian State Security Council to take under control.
