The calls by some parties over social networking sites to engage in mass protests in Azerbaijan aim to create visibility, Azerbaijani Social Democratic Party head Araz Alizade told Trend.
However, he said these actions will be "fruitless."
Facebook recently disseminated information about a mass protest called "March 11."
He said his party, as a left-wing party, does not intend to use such methods.
"I openly tell people my thoughts. Let them point out my lie, and I will leave politics," he said.
