Azerbaijani Interior Minister Ramil Usubov has sounded his position on illegal actions held in Baku.
"There have always been attempts to breach the social stability," Usubov told journalists on Saturday. "Preparations for yesterday's rally have been carried out for a long time. Our youth have been pushed for the illegal actions. However, the illegal rally has shown that the Azerbaijani youth is an integral part of the Azerbaijani people, they are closely united around the head of state and support the President's policies."
He said the criminal situation in the country is under control for many years and a successful fight is being carried out against the crime.

"The Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies, including the Interior Ministry, do everything necessary to ensure the security of the Azerbaijani citizens," Usubov stressed.
Starting from 12:00am, supporters of the action organizers totaling 100 people in small groups openly violated public order and tranquility of the population and tried to gather near the '28 May' metro station, the Interior Ministry reported earlier.
These illegal activities have been stopped as a result of measures taken and 43 people were detained. Acts were compiled with regards to 20 persons the detainees and sent to the appropriate authorities for consideration in accordance with the laws. The remaining 23 detainees were released, after the testimony and an official warning about the inadmissibility of illegal actions.
