Defense minister: Uzbekistan interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in military industry

Uzbekistan is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in all areas, including the development of military industry potential, Uzbek Defense Minister, Maj. Gen. Kabul Berdiyev said at a meeting with Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Oktay Asadov.
The minister said that the two countries have an intergovernmental agreement on military cooperation. The main purpose of his visit is to find the ways to expand this cooperation.
Asadov said that the presidents of both countries have a special role of achieving the level of strategic partnership by our countries.
"Our presidents signed many documents on comprehensive development of cooperation during the visits," Asadov said. "These documents allow to expand the ties in the military sphere."
Speaker expressed confidence that the Uzbek minister's visit will serve to expand the relations between the two countries.
Asadov informed the guest about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and fair position of Azerbaijan in its settlement.
