The Azerbaijani parliament adopted amendments to the Constitutional Law "On the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan" during the second reading of today's special session.
Under the changes, the Press Envoy's authority is transferred to the Human Rights Ombudsman.
The law was adopted in the first reading on Jan. 28. The constitutional law is put to a vote again in six months.
The special session on Friday plans to discuss 21 issues.
