The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the President of Latvia Andris Berzins on his election to this post, the Azerbaijani President's official website reported.
"I cordially congratulate you on your election as the President of the Republic of Latvia. We attach great importance to the Azerbaijani-Latvian relations. I am confident that the bilateral relations, friendly ties, bilateral cooperation and cooperation within international organizations will continue to successfully develop," the message reads.
