The new staff of district election commissions has been approved at a meeting of the Azerbaiajni Central Election Commission today.

The candidates of 1,225 people from 125 constituencies have been approved.

The representative of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Fuad Javadov submitted a list of 375 candidates from the NAP for membership to constituencies. According to him, all the candidates have been agreed with the CEC members. The proposal was accepted by majority of votes.

CEC member Arif Mukhtarov, representing non-party members in Parliament, submitted a list of 375 candidates to the CEC on behalf of the non-party people. The list of all candidates was agreed with the members of the CEC.

Mikail Rahimov, a representative of the Unified Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, representing the minority in Parliament, submitted a list of candidates to the CEC on behalf of the party minority.

He noted that 60 percent of the candidates conducted their activities in the constituencies in the past and all the candidates have been agreed with the CEC members.
