President Ilham Aliyev: New agreements between Azerbaijan and Poland to become new impetus for cooperation (PHOTO)
Following the one-to-one meeting, presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Bronisław Komorowski of Poland held talks with their countries` delegations.
"Dear Mr. President. Distinguished Guests, I greet you. Welcome to Azerbaijan," President Aliyev said addressing the participants of the meeting. "We attach great importance to your visit and are confident that your visit will greatly contribute to the development of the Polish-Azerbaijani relations. Our relations cover many areas. I believe agreements reached during the visit will be a new impetus for cooperation."
He said the Azerbaijan-Poland political relations are at a high level and the economic relations have good prospects.
"Today, we together with you have exchanged views on cooperation in the energy sector," Aliyev said. "In short, we want our relations to cover all aspects and the Polish-Azerbaijani friendship to successfully continue."
"Today, we are very excited and extremely pleased that we are your guests in Azerbaijan," President Komorowski said at the event.
"We see your country as a country which plays a crucial role in its region," he said. "Of course, our relations will further develop following this visit."
"Both nations have gained real independence 20 years ago and adequately took advantage of this important achievement. This is observed in the economic sphere, which is evidenced by progress in the economic performance of both countries.
Azerbaijan's achievements in the economic field caused great respect for your country. The business community becomes increasingly interested in establishing closer economic ties with Azerbaijan. We appreciate the progress you have achieved," he stated.
