President Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated a Carpet Museum in Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan. The President cut the red ribbon and toured the museum.
The museum displays 60 Azerbaijani carpets and rug items of northern weaving techniques. The Heydar Aliyev`s portrait on carpet by famous Azerbaijan painter Kamil Aliyev is one of the best displays of the museum.
President Ilham Aliyev also familiarized himself with Children's library functioning within the Museum. The library occupying a total 1200 square meters, houses a collection of different kind of books and has an access to internet. The library has a collection of more than 29.000 books.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction at the museum and library.
