Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's family has not accompanied him to New York, the Centre of Communication, Information and Publicity of [Iran] Presidential Office announced in an official statement.
Earlier, some media reports in Iran criticized the Iranian president claiming that Ahmadinejad's family, including his wife Farahi Shandiz, his son Mehdi, his daughter-in-law Tayyebeh Rahim Mashaei, his daughter Fatemeh, his son-in-law Mehdi Khorshidi have accompanied Ahmadinejad during his official visit to New York to participate in the 66th session of the UN General Assembly meeting last week.
