Baku Declaration of OIC countries’ ‘Think Tanks’ adopted

The next Fourth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries' 'Think Tanks' will be held in 2014 in Islamabad.
The agreement was reached by the participants in the Third Forum of the OIC countries' 'Think Tanks' which ended in Baku on Saturday. Its topic was changes and transformations in OIC countries.
The Forum ended with the signing of the final declaration. It emphasizes that such meetings contribute significantly to the development of member countries, confirm the territorial integrity of the all countries of the OIC. In addition, it noted the importance of enhanced cooperation of "think tanks" of member countries, exchange of training programs and recognition of diplomas between Islamic countries.
Forum participants agreed to strengthen cooperation between the "think tanks", implement joint projects, create an international research center, whose main office will be located in Baku, prepare development strategies of the OIC countries, publish joint journal, and conduct joint research.
In addition, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of Azerbaijan and the respective centers of Egypt, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum on cooperation.
