Azerbaijan, Baku, June 8 / Trend K. Zarbaliyeva /

Intensive violations of the ceasefire regime by Armenian armed forces hinder the negotiation process. Showing political will, the Azerbaijani government is still willing to participate in the negotiation process, Institute for Human Rights Director, MP Ayten
Mustafayeva said at the international conference "Partnership for Azerbaijan - NATO after the Chicago Summit: New prospects for cooperation" in Baku today.

She said that the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno-Karabakh is ready for cooperation with the Armenian community.

Despite the international organizations receive the documents, confirming the occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh, the requirements of these documents have not been fulfilled yet, she said Romanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Daniel Ciobanu spoke about the outcome of the NATO summit in Chicago.

Chicago Summit has once again reaffirmed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. It has expressed support for the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the ambassador said.

NATO representative in the South Caucasus William Lahue presented extensive information about the activity of the alliance.

Highlighting the contribution made by Azerbaijan in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan, Lahue said that previously, Azerbaijan has allocated 1 million euro for training of officers in Afghanistan. NATO applies double standards toward Azerbaijan, member of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO PA, MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said at a
conference.

Although NATO stresses the commitment to the peaceful settlement of the conflict, 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories are still occupied. Armenia uses force, he said. Nobody urges this country to stop the aggression.

The conference is supported by the Azerbaijani Confederation of Lawyers, Institute of Human Rights of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences, the Eurasian Lawyers Association, the NATO Public Diplomacy Division and the Romanian Embassy in Azerbaijan.
