Russian military bases will ensure stability in the Central Asian region after NATO withdraws from Afghanistan, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his visit to Kyrgyzstan, RIA Novosti reported.
He mentioned that Russia established military bases in Kyrgyzstan due to Kyrgyz request to ensure the region's stability.
Putin added that those who want to destabilize the situation in the region should know that the forces needed to prevent this present in the region.
He said that the presence of Russian military bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan will play a role of stability providing factor.
