Azerbaijani President and First Lady participate in opening of MSU Baku branch’s new building (PHOTO)

Ceremony of opening of the Moscow State University Baku branch's new campus was held today in the capital of Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event.
The President cut the ribbon symbolizing opening of the campus, while the First Lady was presented with flowers.
Rector of Moscow State University named after Mikhail Lomonosov, academician Viktor Sadovnichiy and rector of University's Baku branch Professor Nargiz Pashayeva informed the Head of Azerbaijani State and the First Lady that the construction of the new campus has started in 2010.
Azerbaijani President and his spouse familiarized themselves with the conditions established in the campus, which has been equipped with updated teaching aids, technological novelties, rich library, a conference hall, dining room, and a student center.
The President and First Lady viewed the stands on the ground floor with photo-materials depicting old Baku and old Moscow.
After the acquaintance with the new campus, Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev made a speech at the opening ceremony.
After the Head of State, rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichiy and rector of the Baku branch Nargiz Pashayeva addressed the visitors.
The President and First Lady posed for a photo with University's tutorial and student staff.
Further, President of Azerbaijan and First Lady familiarized themselves with the indoor games hall, swimming pool and training devices installed in campus.
The President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the conditions created at the new campus.
The MSU Baku branch was opened on 15 January 2008 under the decree of the Azerbaijani President.
