Iran does not have a conflict with any of the Caspian-littoral countries, commander of the Iranian Northern Fleet, Admiral Khordad Hakimi said today, İRNA agency reported.

"Our goal is to protect the Caspian Sea without foreign interference," the admiral said.

He said that the Northern Fleet covers only 20 per cent of the Caspian Sea claimed by Iran and ensures the safe operation of oil companies in the oil and gas fields.

Ships and boats equipped with missiles will be commissioned in the Caspian Sea in the near future, Hakimi said.
