Starting December 27 the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan will implement new, improved visa application and appointment scheduling procedures, the embassy informed Trend on Wednesday.

Starting December 27 the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan will implement new, improved visa application and appointment scheduling procedures, the embassy informed Trend on Wednesday.
Prior to interview appointment applicants will be required to pay the fee.

Currently, visa interviews at the U.S. Embassy in Baku are by appointment only, and visa applicants pay the visa application fee at the U.S. Embassy at the time of interview. Starting December 27 applicants willing to get an interview appointment will have to complete the DS-160 application form online.

Registration for interview is possible via www.usvisa-info.com

Applicants will pay the application fee before scheduling an appointment for a visa interview. Payments can be made either by credit card or at bank as defined in Azerbaijan.

More nformation on these procedures will be announced next week.

This new appointment system will replace all previous systems for scheduling visa appointments and will apply to all visa applicants.
Applicants can use the new appointment system from December 27. Interviews will be held from January 3, 2013.

The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy will close regular visa services from 27 December 2012 to 3 January 2013. Limited visa services for emergency travel will be available.

Even after the implementation of the new system on the day for the purpose of applying for a visa for treatment for an urgent meeting of the visa will be considered separately.
