Criminal case has been initiated in respect to former Deputy Defence Minister Nika Dzimtseishvili, chief prosecutor of Georgia Archil Kbilashvili said at a press briefing on Tuesday.

As for his wife, former Deputy Minister of Justice Tina Burjaliani, she is not subjected to prosecution. Currently, she is abroad.

Kbilashvili responded to the statement made by opposition in connection with deputy Marika Verulashvili, saying that no investigation is carried out in respect to Verulashvili or her relatives.

Earlier, President of Georgia stated that she is subjected to blackmail by representatives of majority.

Today Verulashvili left the ranks of the parliamentary opposition.
