The South Caucasus Forum was discussed with the President of Egypt, the State Committee for Diaspora announced in its statement released on Thursday.

A Congress of the board of directors of the famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina, one of the organisers of the Global Leaders Council and the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre, was held under the chairmanship of President of Egypt Mohamed Morsi.

The president highlighted the importance of Bibliotheca Alexandrina and noted that the Egyptian government will always support its work.

At the meeting, ex-president of Latvia Vaira Vike-Freiberg and the director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Ismail Serageldin spoke with Mohammed Mursi of the South Caucasus Forum to be held in Baku and about the Nizami Ganjavi International Centre.

Mursi said the work of Nizami Ganjavi attracts great interest, wished every success to the forum and recommended it to study more broadly the heritage of Nizami Ganjavi in Egypt.
