Turkey will overcome the events in Taksim and the consequences of these events, Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu said, Anadolu agency reported on Tuesday.
According to the Foreign Minister, the main purpose of the protests in Gezi park in Taksim is to break the will of the Turkish people. Davutoglu said that the Turkish people should not lose self-control and self-confidence.
The protests have been going on in Turkey for more than twenty days. According to the representatives of the authorities, the protests already have anti-government character.
Turkey's opposition parties accuse the police of using excessive force against protesters.
Earlier, the Interior Minister of Turkey said that the cases of the use of excessive force against protesters are being investigated.
