A detachment of Caspian Flotilla warships of the Russian Federation Navy entered Baku port on Monday during a collection campaign under the banner of the flotilla commander Vice-Admiral Sergei Alekminsky.

The rocket ship "Dagestan" and small artillery ship "Volgodonsk" visited Baku port within the framework of development and strengthening of cooperation between the Russian Navy and Azerbaijan's Naval Forces in the Caspian Sea, the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia said.

A meeting of the representatives of the commands of Russia's Caspian Flotilla and Azerbaijan's Naval Forces is planned within the program of ships' entering Baku port.

In addition, the Russian sailors will lay wreaths at the monument to Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor.

The sailors will also become familiar with Azerbaijani capital's sightseeing places and the country's history.
