Turkish hospitals located in the provinces bordering Syria are setting up special quarantine zones for the victims of the deployed use of chemical weapons in Syria, Zaman newspaper reported on Thursday.

According to the publication, the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) has increased security measures along the Syrian-Turkish border due to another possible chemical attack in Syria.

According to preliminary data, there are over 600 victims of the attack. The National Coalition of the Syrian Opposition claims that the number of victims could reach 1,300 people. After the incident, the parties of the conflict repeatedly proclaimed their innocence and accused their opponents. The authorities and the military command of Syria, in turn, dismiss the information.

Clashes between government forces and armed opposition have been continuing in Syria for more than two years. According to UN statistics, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is more than 100,000. The Syrian authorities say they are being opposed by well-armed militants.
