Students at several universities in Turkey held protests against the on-going volence in Syria and Egypt, Anadolu agency reported on Friday.
According to the report, Turkish students called on Egypt's military regime to relinquish power and release the former president of the country Mohammed Morsi and other leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood movement.
Protesters also urged the international community to increase pressure on Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria to stop violence in the country. At the rally there were calls to conduct a fair investigation into the use of chemical weapons in Syria and to prosecute those responsible for the deaths of civilians in the country.
