A military cooperation plan was signed during the visit of Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov to Bahrain, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on Dec.26.
The plan envisages the intensification and expansion of the military cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Azerbaijan's defense minister met with the Supreme Commander of the Defence Forces, the King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
During the expanded meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the development of friendship and military cooperation between the two countries and discussed the current relations and the issues of mutual interest.
Following this, the delegation of Azerbaijani Defense Ministry visited the naval and air bases of Bahrain, as well as military medical institutions.
