The remarks made by the former US diplomat, Wayne Merry, about Azerbaijan are biased and unfounded, the third secretary of Azerbaijan's Embassy in the US, Samir Bejanov, told Trend Feb. 4.
"Back in 2012, Wayne Merry illegally visited the Azerbaijani territories occupied by Armenia, and as a result, he was included to the list of undesirable persons by Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry," Bejanov said.
"And in this regard, he is making biased and unfounded criticism of Azerbaijan," the diplomat added.
Earlier, several media outlets spread Merry's biased criticism against Azerbaijan.
