Ilham Aliyev appoints Ali Hasanov as aide for social, political issues

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree Feb. 23 appointing Ali Hasanov as the presidential aide for social and political issues.
Ali Hasanov was born on March 10, 1960 in the Tananam village of the Sharur district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
From 1994 to 1995, Hasanov served as the head of the ideological department of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, and between 1995 and 1996 he was the deputy head of the social and political department of Azerbaijani presidential administration.
Between 1996 and 2005, he was the head of the social and political department of the presidential administration, and from 2005, after renaming that department, Hasanov served as the head of the department of social and political issues of the presidential administration.
