President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Minister of Economic Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Nihat Zeybekci December 21.

President Aliyev hailed the importance of the meeting of economic ministers of member states of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States to be held in Baku.

The president emphasized that the visit of Zeybekci was of pivotal importance both in terms of participating in the Council's meeting and holding discussions on the development of economic relations between the two countries.

Zeybekci conveyed greetings of President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Aliyev.

Pointing to friendly and brotherly ties between the two countries, Zeybekci noted that Azerbaijan strongly supported Turkey during the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey.

They underlined the importance of Azerbaijan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council's meetings in strengthening bilateral ties, and exchanged views on the development of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The president thanked for the greetings of President Erdogan, and asked Zeybekci to extend his greetings to the Turkish president.
