BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Today, relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan are developing comprehensively, Assistant to Azerbaijan’s President, Head of Department for Military Affairs of President’s Executive Office, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan Maharram Aliyev said at a round table dedicated to the 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, Trend reports.
According to him, after the two countries gained independence, relations between them continued to develop on the basis of mutual respect and trust.
Azerbaijan and Tajikistan productively cooperate within the framework of international organizations, Aliyev noted.
"Our positions also coincide on regional issues. Both countries support each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. Today, relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan are developing comprehensively. Sincere relations between the leaders of the two countries make a positive contribution to the development of interstate ties," Aliyev added.
