BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. Prospects for enhanced mutual trade turnover have been debated between Azerbaijan and Serbia, a source in the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.

According to the source, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov has met with a delegation headed by the Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijani-Serbian Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) on Trade and Economic Cooperation, Minister of Culture of Serbia Nikola Selakovic.

The meeting emphasized the importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached between the heads of state from the point of view of further expansion of mutually beneficial partnership.

The parties touched upon the significance of the 8th meeting of the IGC held in Baku.

The meeting also discussed prospects for increasing mutual investments, developing cooperation in the transport and transit field, renewable energy, humanitarian and other areas.

To note, the volume of mutual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Serbia in the first half of 2024 amounted to about $31 million.
