BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with international observers on election issues, the Chairman of the country's Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov told reporters, Trend reports.
He pointed out that all necessary conditions have been created to observe the snap parliamentary election in the country.
In particular, Panahov said that observers from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) began work on August 1.
“They are monitoring the preparations for the election in the constituencies,” he added.
To note, on June 28, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree dissolving the sixth convocation of the Azerbaijani Parliament and scheduling a snap election for September 1.
